Kaoriのソロプロジェクト＝dahliaとして活動。ボサノヴァ、フレンチ、ジャズや映画音楽などの要素を取り入れたポップミュージックを展開。
これまでにオリジナルCDを８作品リリースし、韓国でも計４作品がリリース。 シルキーで心地よいウィスパーボイスででcapsule、須永辰緒、Humming Urban Stereo（韓国）、Félix Dyotte（カナダ）など、他アーティストの作品やコンピレーション、カバーアルバムなど、多数ヴォーカル参加。
イラストレーターとしての経歴もあり、現在も絵を描くほか、dahliaのCDジャケットのデザインも全て自身が手がける。
日本の家紋を用いたグラフィック作品展『kamon』、トルコ旅行で撮影した写真展『TURKEY TURKEY（2011年）』、それまでのデザインやイラスト、文章をまとめた『dahlia works展（2013年）』などの個展開催のほか、セラピストとして活動するなど、心の赴くまま、ジャンルにとらわれない自由な活動を続けている。

"dahlia" was formed by kaori(vo.+lyrics+artworks)and KanichiSAITO(Ba.+song writing+programming) In 1998, they released their first album [Table Talk] and the next year,their second album [June Fool]. In these albums,they performed their own music style called "nouvelle pop music", which was influenced by French pop, Jazz, Bossa Nova and film. Following the release of these albums,"dahlia" was moved to Happiness Records. And they released [quatrieme] in 2001 and [le mode d'emploi(14songs CD)] in 2003.
Now,"dahlia" is solo acts of Kaori.She has released 4 albums since 2004.Kaori is a singer, also designer,illustrator and therapist.
